• Jason Takerer, BA (Energy Management); MA (Sustainable Energy Policy)

    Director

    Jason’s diverse 35-year career in housing began as a builder-renovator working many years hands-on in the field. He has certifications in HVAC design, building science, and construction.

    Jason has worked in NRCan’s Office of Energy Efficiency (OEE) housing programs (similar to Greener Homes) since 2007 as an Energy Advisor and a Quality Assurance Auditor (performance audits of Service Organization EnerGuide evaluations). During this time, Jason worked for three years at NRCan OEE as part of a technical team that developed iterations of the EnerGuide for Houses program operational documents. Most recently, Jason worked as an affordable housing technical researcher for CMHC.

  • Hanah Takerer (Mechanical Engineering Technologist)

    Energy Advisor

    Hanah Graduated from Algonquin College with a three year Mechanical Engineering Technologist Diploma. She spent 4 years working for Natural Resources Canada as a Mechanical Engineering and Test Technologist in a metallurgical research laboratory.

    She has worked on the construction and renovation of several investment properties and is a registered energy advisor.

  • Heather Takerer, B. Comm.

    Office Manager

    Heather has helped strategize energy retrofits and construction projects for over 25 years.

    As a career housing professional, Heather has worked in utility energy efficiency initiatives, as an NRCan certified Energy Advisor for EnerGuide for Houses programs, and most recently in policy operations with federal government affordable housing initiatives.

  • Jeremy Takerer, MA Social Work

    Labourer

    Jeremy has been instrumental in retrofitting houses and implementing energy upgrades for many years. While currently less involved in energy retrofits, Jeremy still plays a key role in the family business.
